After not finding out about fishing licenses – the office was still not open – a helpful person told us where to fish that did not need a license. Paul and Josh went fishing, but did not catch anything. Maybe that’s why one doesn’t need a license at that spot :-).
Jessica and Mary drove the northern route around the side of the mountain to San Glorio.

Can't figure out why we have a photo of Josh with the deer statue. He was supposed to be fishing while we were taking this drive. But we are putting this blog together almost 30 years after the trip so we probably have a few things mixed up.
Followed the river mostly, for a pretty drive through more lovely mountains.
They went as far as Canges de Onis, and saw the gothic bridge, and had lunch there. At lunch, they enjoyed part of a Bonanza episode in Spanish.
After Mary and Jessica returned, we all drove to San Vicente to pick up our cash advance (arranged by the credit card company…we still don’t have new credit cards). We had dinner at a cafeteria near the bay and could see fish in the very clear waters.
We could spend more time in this area.
