Spent some time canceling the credit cards, dealing with the loss of the license, and dealing with the metro lost and found – apparently the pickpockets will generally just take the cash and throw the wallet away. No luck, however. We are supposed to get a new credit card tomorrow.
Jessica has been sick most of the trip. While Mary did some laundry, Paul, Jessica, and Josh stopped by the American consulate to get names of English-speaking doctors, so Jessica could see one about her cough.
When we all got back to the hotel, Mary and Paul went shopping to buy some snacks, canned tuna and bread for sandwiches, and other items.
As a general note, Mary and Paul were in Madrid in the early 1970’s and found the city very clean. Not so this time.
