Thursday June 29 - Ronda

Bells again from the goats going to pasture.

It was hot and sunny today.  One thing we noticed a lot in Spain – no screens on the windows.

A rooster crowed all day.  The pool was up to 74°F so we went swimming. 

We headed to the small city of Ronda today.  The city gate and walls.

The town sits right on the edge of a very steep, tall cliffs, giving it dramatic views of the countryside...  

And as we moved along the city walks we had great views back on the city itself. 

The city was filled with old buildings and windy streets.

and a neat stone bridge that crossed the deep gorge that separates the two parts of the town.  We hiked down the side of the gorge for a different view of the bridge.

Jessica, who was collecting shot glasses, could not find any.  The sun was out today – hot and humid.  Spent the rest of the afternoon and evening in the hotel, swimming, and with dinner at the hotel restaurant.  And the goat bells at 9pm again.
